Grand Fresher's Party hosted by MIER College of Education

JAMMU: To extend a warm welcome to the new students of B.Ed., B.Ed. Special Education, and MA Political Science, the Co-curricular Committee at MIER College of Education organized a vibrant fresher's party within the college premises.

The event, graced by Dr. Adit Gupta, Director and Principal of MIER College of Education as the Chief Guest, witnessed the presence of Mrs. Rupa Gupta, Joint Director MIER, Prof. Nishta Rana, Deputy Head, School of Education, Dr. Monika Bajaj, Head, School of Social Sciences and Humanities, along with other esteemed faculty members.

The festivities began with Shriya Shan, a student of B.Ed. Semester III, extending a warm welcome to the guests and the incoming students.

Dr. Adit Gupta commended the senior students for their efforts in organizing the program and emphasized the value of hard work as the key to success. He highlighted the influential role of teachers as social innovators who can bring about positive changes not only in the lives of students but also in society at large.

Dr. Gupta encouraged the new students to invest their best efforts in academics and actively participate in various college activities to make their educational journey both joyful and enriching.

The event showcased a plethora of entertaining performances, including games like Burst the Balloons and Musical Chairs, captivating solo songs, and dance performances by both seniors and juniors.

The highlight of the evening was the mesmerizing group dance performances by students of Semester III, filling the atmosphere with joy and excitement. Seniors shared their valuable experiences at the college, while juniors expressed their sentiments about transitioning from school to college.

Monika from B.Ed. Semester I and Mr. Sudhanshu from B.Ed. Special Semester I was declared as Ms. And Mr. Fresher.

Alisha Vaid and Palak Grover, students of B.Ed. Semester III, expertly conducted the program, ensuring a seamless flow of events. Shivani Chib from B.Ed. Special Education Semester III delivered a formal vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants and organizers. The festivities concluded with refreshments and casual interactions, providing an opportunity for students to bond.

Dr. Reeta Dwivedi, Convener of the Co-curricular Committee, supervised the entire event, ensuring its smooth execution.

The Fresher's Party not only marked the initiation of the new students into the college community but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and enthusiasm among all attendees.
