GDC Marh organises interactive session on Relevance of Physiotherapy

JAMMU: IQAC of the Government Degree College, Marh/Department of Zoology on Saturday organised an interactive session on relevance of Physiotherapy in total health well being.
The College Principal Prof. Rakesh Kumar Koul welcomed the gathering and highlighted the need for such interactive sessions on health well being for faculty and staff in this mundane life.
Resource person of the programme was Jagjit Singh from National Health Management Physiotherapy Center, Gandhi nagar, Jammu. He dwelled in detail about nervous and circulatory system interaction, leading to lifestyle chronic diseases.
He also gave practical demonstration about physiotherapy equipment that is used to achieve the objective via enhancement of blood flow, quickening of the healing process of tissues, tendons, muscles, etc., and/ or improvement of mobility in constricted joints, etc. and expertise in using these tools ensures that patients receive personalized care.
He said the devices, including resistance bands, weights, and balance boards, aid in improving muscle strength and flexibility.
The programme was attended by the staff of college, staff of ZEO and staff of Govt. Middle School, Dhateryal who interacted with the resource person and appreciated the programme.
