DC Jammu flags off P Mark Jammu Dualthon 70.3 for Fit - Drugs Free Jammu

200 athletes participate

JAMMU: The 4th edition of P Mark Jammu Duathlon 70.3 event was organized here today in which over 200 athletes across India participated.

Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sachin Kumar Vaishya was the chief guest on the occasion who was accompanied by Harvinder Singh ADC Jammu, Vinod Kumar SSP Jammu, Ishita, Atul Sharma SDM South, Sushil Khajuria, Bishnah Tehsildar, Vikram Sharma SHO Bishnah and others.

DC Jammu said, "Jammu district administration welcome all athletes as the Jammu Duathlon 70.3 encompassed a grueling 1.2-mile run, 56-mile bike ride, and a half-marathon 13.1-mile run, drew athletes from diverse backgrounds and skill levels."

"Events like these play a pivotal role in fostering a healthier society. The emergence of drug-related issues poses a significant threat to our well-being. It is imperative that individuals promptly share any information related to drugs with the police to address this growing concern," SSP Jammu, Vinod Kumar stated during the occasion.

Over 200 athletes participated in the event, demonstrating the growing popularity of duathlons in India, the participants met with a challenging yet breathtaking course, which showcased the natural beauty of the Jammu region.

The Jammu Duathlon 70.3 attracted top-tier athletes from across the country, leading to intense competition throughout the race, the event garnered strong local support, with communities along the course enthusiastically cheering on participants, creating a vibrant atmosphere.

Organizer, Archit Puri, Director of PBI India Pvt Ltd (Brand P Mark) and Chairman CII J&K UT underscored company's commitment to producing wholesome and pure products. Jammu Hills Sports Club expressed their satisfaction with the event's success.

The other dignitaries who participated were Anisa Nabi, Sukhpal and Colonel Rahul Aggarwal.

Winners of the event were (Overall 70.3) Manav Radha (First), Kuldeep Kumar (Second) and Sukaran Raj Sharma (Third). While in overall Olympic distance were Parvaiz Ahmed, Aman Gupta, and Nikhil Dehlan.
