DG Floriculture inspects swachata works, activities in village Shiendra as Panchayat Prabhari

POONCH: Prabhari/ Visiting Officer S. Jatinder Singh, Director General Department of Floriculture Parks and Gardens Jammu assessed the level of swachata during the ongoing Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen in Panchayat Shiendra Lower of Block Lassana of District Poonch.

Sarpanch of the Gram Panchayat Wajahat Bhukhari along with the Panches, I/c Secretary Panchayat/AA (P), Vinamar Sharma & Frontline Workers of different Departments Participated in the said programme.

During the visit Parbhari Officer visited different places of Panchayat & monitored the level of Sanitation, level of legacy waste in Panchayat, availability of Waste Management System & Drainage System in Panchayat. He also visited the Community Compost Pit & Community Sanitary Complex, Segregation Shed & other assets in the village created especially to handle & manage waste produced in the panchayat. He gave immediate directions to the PRIs Member and Frontline Workers to maintain the assets for their sustainable use in future also.

He also organised a Health Camp for different people of the area along with Safai Karamcharis with the help of the Health Department. He gave an awareness message to the local Public of Panchayat along with Sarpanch Halqa & Performed Sanitization/Cleanliness of the Market places of the Panchayat.

The plantation drive was also conducted in the premises of Government Higher Secondary School Shindra where the Department of Floriculture provided different plants for the school in presence of the Sarpanch Halqa and other prominent persons of the Panchayat Halqa.

He directed the Frontline Workers to follow proper procedure while implementing the schemes on ground so that development work is carried out smoothly. He asked for consultation with the PRIs Member and Frontline Workers for identification and execution of works in the panchayat.
