Arun Jaitley's bust unveiled on his death anniversary

MUMBAI: On the death anniversary of Arun Jaitley, Guardian Minister of Mumbai Suburban district Mangalprabhat Lodha inaugurated the bust of the former central minister and senior leader from BJP Arun Jaitley as a tribute. 

The fourth death anniversary of former Central Minister Arun Jaitley was observed on Thursday. He is remembered across the country for his contributions and work.

Lodha unveiled a statue of him at Peddar Road in Mumbai, a square where Arun Jaitley used to visit. During the ceremony, Minister Lodha paid tribute to the legacy of Arun Jaitley.

Lodha expressed that Arun Jaitley made significant contributions to both the nation and the Bharatiya Janata Party. He emphasized the importance of commemorating Jaitley's legacy to ensure that future generations understand his contributions.

"I received personal mentorship from Arun Jaitley, and it was under his guidance that I ventured into the realm of politics," Guardian Minister Lodha remarked during the event.

Arun Jaitley was the Finance Minister at the Center during the first tenure of the Modi government. During this period, he played a major role in implementing various economic policies including implementation of GST in the country. He was a lawyer by profession and has been posthumously honored with the Padma Vibhushan Award in 2021 by the Central Government.

Arun Jaitley's relatives Nidhi Sharma, Shravan Sharma, Principal of Dalmia College Vinod Dalmia, Smt Shrima Murthy, Gagan Mudra, Sarikha Mahotra and other dignitaries of Dogra community and a large number of local citizens were present on this occasion.
