Pride Moon Moment Among Media Students at JU


JAMMU: In a jubilant display of national pride, students of Journalism and Media Studies, University of Jammu, Thursday came together to celebrate the triumphant landing of Chandrayaan-3, India's third lunar exploration mission.

A wave of patriotic fervor was seen among the media students, who expressed their joyful feeling and gratitude towards ISRO and the Prime Minister for this groundbreaking achievement. The highlight of the day was to display the strength of the Indian diversity through multilingual and multicultural celebrations of the successful landing on the southern pole of the moon.

During the celebrations, students congratulated the entire team behind the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3. The prominent languages which were used by the students included Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Dogri, English, Gojri, Pahari, Kashmiri and Sarazi.

Earlier, speaking on the occasion, Dr Garima Gupta, Head, Department of Journalism and Media Studies said that it is a moment of great pride that India has created history by becoming the first nation to land on the Southern pole of the moon.

"India has always led the world by example and will continue to lead the world with more such historic occasions in future, especially under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi," said Dr Gupta, adding "We always had faith in our scientists since the first attempt. It was only a matter of time and today success says it all."

Present among others included faculty members, Dr Pardeep Singh Bali, Dr Ravia Gupta, office staff and students.
