Doon International School celebrated 77th Independence Day

JAMMU: Doon International School, a leading educational institution, proudly celebrated the 77th Independence Day of India with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor.

The event witnessed the presence of esteemed Chief Guest Professor Ashok Aima, Former VC Central University of Jammu and Guest of Honour Er. Kiran Wattal, Former Municipal Commissioner and Secretary Sports Council of J&K, who graced the occasion with their esteemed presence.

The highlight of the event was a soul-stirring group song that resonated with the spirit of patriotism. The students' melodious voices harmoniously echoed the pride and unity of the nation, captivating the audience with their enchanting performance.

In addition, a heart-touching Dance Drama based on the scintillating acts depicting the sacrifices of various Freedom Fighters, the act depicting the partition of India and finally the attainment of Independence on 15th August, 1947 exhibiting the emotional extravaganza of the people of free India was presented by the drama club of the school.

The celebration also witnessed an eloquent speech by one of the students, who enthusiastically recounted the significance of Independence Day and urged everyone to cherish and uphold the values of freedom.

Adding to the fervour of the event, the students enthralled the audience with their graceful dance performances. Their vibrant and energetic moves were a reflection of the rich cultural heritage of our country.

The remarkable performances by the students received widespread appreciation from the esteemed Chairman, G.N Tantray, Principal, Dr. Vikesh Kaur, Vice Principal, Dr. Sarita Moza Kaul, and Head Mistress, Shivali Singh Pathania.

The dignitaries commended the students for their dedication, talent, and unwavering commitment to promoting patriotism.

Speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest laid emphasis on providing competency and skill based learning to the students alongwith inculcating social and moral values contributing in elevating their character building and making them true and honest citizens of the nation.

The Chairman G.N Tantray expressed his pride in the students' exceptional performances and their unwavering commitment to their country. He stated that it is heartwarming to witness the passion and talent displayed by our students today as they have truly embraced the spirit of patriotism and have made us all proud. He commended their efforts and dedication.

Principal Dr. Vikesh Kaur also shared her appreciation and deliberated that "The Independence Day celebration at Doon International School Jammu has been a true reflection of our students' commitment to their country and their performances were inspiring as they have set a remarkable example for their peers.She expressed her pride in their performances
