Jodhamal School organises' Campus Art League'

JAMMU: In order to promote creativity, spontaneous thinking, out-of-the-box ideas, and Art Education, Jodhamal School organized Campus Art League which was open to all Jodhamal Students who have interest in Art, Painting or Craft Work.
More than 600 students became part of this artistic extravaganza and showcased their creativity in different genres of art, painting, clay moulding, paper craft, papier-mâché etc.
Jodhamal School promotes integration of Art in the routine curriculum as per the recommendations by NEP 2020 and CBSE. The purpose of Art Integration in education is to ensure that students create interest in all subjects, particularly the subjects known for their dry nature.
Through Art Integration, students having interest in Art-related subjects also find difficult subjects fascinating, thereby creating desire for learning. It also provides multiple ways for students to construct understanding and make their learning visible by demonstrating their understanding through Art.
The purpose of the activity was to provide a platform to our children to unleash their creativity by expressing and manifesting their latent talents.
The paintings, craft work, objets d'art, artwork and other artefacts created in the Campus Art League will be displayed in the upcoming School Exhibitions.
The teachers from Art and Craft and Painting Departments who mentored students for this Event were : Nivedita, Shveta Manga, Amanpreet Kour, Hemu Jaggi and Sonika Chalotra.
The entire event was spearheaded by the Co-Curricular Activities Department of the School under the guidance of Mubeen Butt and Deepali Puri.
Nandan Kuthiala, Trustee, Arati Kuthiala, Director, Girish Kumar, Principal, and Shefali Sanwal, Vice Principal of the School congratulated the students on their involvement in the Campus Art League and complimented them for their creativity.
Overall, it was a resounding success.
