VC DDC Udhampur flags off Holy Mace (Charri) to Mindal (Kishtwar)

UDHAMPUR: Amid religious slogans, bhajans and ecstasy of devotees touching sky rocketing heights, Yatra for Shri Mindal Sthan at Kishtwar was today flagged off formally from Udhampur by DDC Udhampur Vice Chairperson, Juhi Manhas Pathania in presence of Rakesh Chander Bodhi, DDC Ghordi, Joginder Singh Jasrotia, Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Anwar Ul Haq, Additional SP Udhampur, Rafiq Ahmed Jaral, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Udhampur and other senior officers of district administration as well as prominent members of civil society.

Addressing a sea of devotees, DDC Vice-Chairperson said that this Yatra is an annual affair where every year, Holy Mace starts from Keyon Village of Aghar Jittoo in district Reasi and after meandering through district Udhampur, Ramban & Doda, it culminates at Mindal at Kishtwar.

She further said that such yatras reflect incessant faith of people in the grace of god, positivity and human spirit to do something better for the society and the nation.

This yatra symbolises ever-agile human spirit to fight against social evils as well as the challenges faced by our country in the modern times.

Chain Singh Dehati, the president of the management committee, welcomed all the guests and thanked the local Administration for its support.

The yatra paused at many places as the devotees paid obeisance and sought blessings from the Guruji, Tirath Ram Manhas.
