DLSA Udhampur hosts awareness program on Women's Rights

UDHAMPUR: District Legal Services Authority, Udhampur under the Guidance of Chairman DLSA Udhampur, Haq Nawaz Zargar and under overall supervision of Secretary DLSA Udhampur, Ajay Kumar, organized an Awareness Programme on Women's Rights and Violence against Women here today at Government Higher Secondary School Kud.

The Resource Persons of the Programme were Chairman TLSC Chenani, Rekha Sharma, Panel Lawyer Adv. Balwan Singh and Adv Swatantra Dev Kotwal.

The resource persons discussed the issues faced by the Women and enlightened the gathering about rights of women and provisions of Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005.

The Secretary DLSA, while thanking the Resource Persons and Participants, threw light on the Legal Rights of the women and stressed upon the need to safeguard all basic rights which are vital to a human life especially to Women.
