DDC Rajouri reviews progress of work on CRF, NABARD-funded projects

RAJOURI: District Development Commissioner of Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today presided over a meeting to assess the progress achieved under various projects funded by NABARD, RDIF (XXII-XXVII), and those being executed under the Central Road Fund (CRF) scheme in the district.

During the meeting, it was informed that two CRF projects have been undertaken in the Nowshehra subdivision and work on both is in progress. The projects would enhance connectivity and speed up development in the region.

Furthermore, it was highlighted that four Central Road Fund (CRF) projects are have been taken up in Rajouri to improve surface connectivity and provide better transportation facilities to the residents.

The District Development Commissioner emphasised the need to expedite the execution of these projects while maintaining quality standards. He directed the concerned authorities to closely monitor the progress, resolve issues promptly, if any and ensure effective coordination among all stakeholders involved in the execution of these projects.

"The successful implementation of these projects is crucial for the development and progress of the district. The improved connectivity and enhanced infrastructure will positively impact the lives of the residents, promote economic growth, and facilitate better accessibility to various areas," Vikas Kundal said.

He also expressed his gratitude to the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RDIF) for the financial support towards these projects, acknowledging their contribution in the development of the district.

The meeting addressed concerns regarding project timelines and identified delays in the execution of certain works. The District Development Commissioner stressed the importance of adhering to the set timelines and urged all stakeholders to expedite progress to avoid delays. The DDC emphasised the need for strict quality control measures during the execution of projects. The District Development Commissioner instructed the concerned departments to ensure that the highest standards are maintained in terms of construction materials, workmanship, and project specifications.

"Effective coordination among various departments and agencies involved in the execution of these projects was highlighted as a crucial aspect," reiterated DDC.
