Shri Ram Universal School holds function

SAMBA: The Shri Ram Universal School Jakh (TSUSJ) organized a function in its premises.

Captain (Indian Navy) AK Desai, Principal Sainik School Nagrota, was chief guest of the function while Keshav Dutt Sharma (Chairman DDC Samba) was guest of honour.

Other dignitaries present on the occasion included Sanjeev Gupta (Chairman TSUSJ), Rajni Gupta (Director TSUSJ), Shivani Vaid Sharma (Headmistress TSUSJ), besides parents of the Students' Council.

The programme commenced with lighting of the lamp followed by recitation of Gayatri Mantra and a mesmerizing cultural bonanza showcased by the students. Col VK Sharma (Retired), Principal of TSUSJ, presented welcome address.

The chief guest and the guest of honour jointly did the honours of presenting the sash and pinning the appointment badge on to the chest of the office bearers. The newly appointed Students' Council was sworn in by Col VK Sharma.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest urged the students to realize the importance of opportunities that come across and acquire skills that will make them worthy citizens who are willing to give back not only to their family but also to the society, the Nation, and the world at large.
