Two-day capacity building programme concludes at PHQ

SRINAGAR: The two-day capacity building training programme on technical and digital aspects of investigation concluded at Police Headquarters Srinagar with a valedictory function.
As per a statement, Justice VC Koul, Judge of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Various dignitaries were present, including Director General of Police J&K Dilbag Singh, ADGP Armed J&K SJM Gillani, ADGP (Coord/Hqrs) PHQ, M K Sinha, ADGP Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar, IGP (CIV/Hqrs) PHQ, BS Tuti, Special Judge NIA Court Srinagar, Sandeep Gandotra, and other officials.
During his speech, Justice Koul congratulated the Jammu and Kashmir Police for organizing the training programme and emphasized its importance in helping investigating officers handle different types of cases. He highlighted the need for thorough investigations that meet the requirements of the law to ensure justice is served in the court of law.
Director General of Police J&K Dilbag Singh welcomed the Chief Guest and expressed gratitude for their presence.
He thanked the NIA faculty team for their valuable lectures and support in organizing the training programme. He emphasized the important role of investigating officers in conducting investigations and preparing for all aspects of the case before submitting the challan in court.
ADGP Coord/Hqrs, PHQ, MK Sinha commended the Jammu and Kashmir Police for their efforts in fighting terrorism and organizing capacity building programmes to improve the quality of investigations.
He stressed the importance of targeting the entire terror eco-system and achieving peace through professional and high-quality investigations.
Special Judge NIA Court Srinagar, Sandeep Gandotra emphasized the significance of professional investigations as the backbone of criminal cases and their role in securing convictions. SSP NIA Rajiv Omprakash Pande thanked the J&K Police for the opportunity and hoped that the officers would benefit from the training programme.
The training programme was conducted by AIG (Training/Policy) JS Johar, and Dy SP SIA Sheikh Junaid Shafi presented the vote of thanks on behalf of all participants.
The training programme covered various technical topics, including mobile forensics, disc forensic, CDR and IPDR analysis, trends in cybercrime, and the difference between physical and electronic evidence.
