Zone level U-14/17 Girls & Boys sports tournament inaugurated at GHSS Girls Bhaderwah

BHADARWAH: Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhaderwah, Dil Mir Choudhary today inaugurated the Inter School Zone level Sports tournament for Under 14/17 Girls & Boys tournament in an impressive and well attended function held in the Government Girls Higher Secondary School Bhaderwah.

The Sports event will witness competitions in Kabaddi, Kho Kho, Volleyball, Badminton, Wrestling, Tug of War, Chess, Carrom, Football, and Athletics.

The Students from Government as well as Private schools are participating in the tournament being organized by the department of Youth Services & Sports as a part of annual calendar of sports activities 2023-24.

At the inaugural function, the ADC Bhaderwah appreciated the Youth Services and Sports Department for hosting the mega sports event to provide youth an opportunity to demonstrate their sports talent.

The event is being held under the patronage of Subhash Chander Chiber, Director Youth Services and Sports, and under the overall supervision of Jaffer Haider Sheikh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Doda and incharge ZPEO Bhaderwah, Vijay Kumar.

The inaugural programme was also attended by the in charge Principal Girls HSS Bhaderwah, lecturers, Masters and sports lovers.

The tournament began with a Badminton match played between HS Radiant Academy and GMS Chaka. Radiant Academy defeated MS Chakka by 5 points

Zanib Malik from Radiant Academy Beat Sony Bhagat From UPS Lanchan.

In Chess, Holy Hock defeated UPS Manthala, GMS Mandir defeated BVM Gatha and in Carrom, GMS Upper Dandi defeated UPS Lanchan.
