MAM College organizes awareness session on IYOM

JAMMU: NCC Unit of 2nd J&K Boys Bn of the Maulana Azad Memorial College Jammu conducted an awareness session on the International Year of Millets (IYOM) under the leadership of the Dr. G. S Rakwal, Principal of the college.

In today' s event, NCC cadets delivered lectures on the importance and relevance of celebrating the International Year of Millets 2023, harnessing the untapped potential of millets for food security, nutrition and sustainable agriculture.

NCC cadets also conducted expert talks and discussions on increasing global production of millets and its better use as a major component of the food basket.

The whole event is conducted under the guidance and supervision of Prof. Shiv Kumar, CT NCC officer of the college and coordinated by the SUO Bhanu Pratap, Cdt. Sanchit.
