Football awards function organized

JAMMU: Pegasus Football Club and Sports Academy, a unit of Batra Group successfully hosted Jammu's first ever football awards function at KC Emporia Banquet, Jammu.

Various awards were given to the winning teams and players who participated in three tournaments which were organized by the ‘Pegasus Football Club and Sports Academy'.

The players who got selected for J&K men's ‘Santosh trophy' were honored at this function along with the players who got selected for J&K women's National team.

The players from Jammu district who have excelled in the field of football and the players who are currently playing in the prestigious tournament like Indian Soccer League, I League and 2nd Division were given recognition and were also awarded.

Chief guest of the event was Ranjeet Kalra-Member J&K Sports Council, while guests of honor were Arun Malhotra and Kuldeep Handoo.

Bhisham Batra, Director, Batra Group said, "It is very important to acknowledge the efforts and the hard work these young footballers put on the field. And such initiatives are much needed as they boost the morale of the sportsmen."
