MC Kishtwar, district administration organise awareness programmes at Bus Stand

KISHTWAR: Municipal Council Kishtwar and District Administration Kishtwar collaborated to organise awareness programs on two important issues: plastic-free and the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan today.

In this regard, an awareness program was held at the main Bus Stand in Kishtwar, attended by 200 students and members of the general public.

Additional District Development Commissioner, Sham Lal was the chief guest on the occasion while President Municipal Council Kishtwar, Sajjad Ahmed Najjar was the guest of honour.

During his speech, Sham Lal emphasised the importance of such awareness programs in creating a sense of responsibility among citizens towards the environment and society. He also encouraged people to reduce their plastic usage and work towards a plastic-free future.

Dustbins were also distributed among students by the Municipal Council.

Municipal Councillors and staff from MC Kishtwar, Station House Officer (SHO) Kishtwar, Abid Bukhari and officials from the DC Office were also present on the occasion.
