Kathua Campus, JU organises 2nd Hands-on Training on Information Technology

JAMMU: Aiming to promote innovation and creativity among the youth of Kathua District, Department of Computer Science & IT, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu organized 2nd Campus Visit and Hands-on Training on Information Technology in the series for the students of Government Higher Secondary Schools of Zone Basohli.
More than 130 students along with faculty members visited the Campus and hands-on training on Information Technology was imparted to them.
Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Rector, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu in her message highlighted the necessity of awareness regarding Information Technology in contemporary times and said that the Hands-on training would benefit the students of Government Higher Secondary Schools of Zone Basohli in their future endeavours as well.
Dr. Kilam while addressing the students bring forth the initiatives taken by the Government of India to promote innovation and creativity among the youth of the country.
Further, she focused on developing the habit of learning new skills as it can contribute to structural transformation and economic growth by enhancing employability and helping the nation to become more competitive.
She reiterated every possible cooperation from Kathua Campus for the progressive development of the students of Kathua district so that they can progress and illuminate this region in the era of development.
Dr. Sourabh Shastri, Incharge Head (Computer Science), Kathua Campus, University of Jammu welcomed the participants and talked about various Government initiatives pertaining to technology in the field of education.
He also gave a detailed presentation on Campus Profile and NEP-2020.
Pranav Ratta discussed the role of Databases in Web Applications whereas.
Sunny Sharma talked on Cyber Security.
Amit Sharma, Dr. Pankaj Khajuria, Dr.Zahin Ansari, TiharikaNath, Kamakshi, Dr.Shivani Sharma, Dr. Seema Jamwal, Amarjeet Chopra, Dr. Ruby Sharma, KomalKhadotra, Ritu Sharma, Ritika Gupta, Sandeep Raj, Sushant Gagal, HimaniKhajuria, ArchanaSalaria, Pallavi Verma, Rakshit Khajuria and Rajan Verma were also present.
