Department of Commerce, JU in collaboration with University of Jammu Alumni Association organizes an Alumni meet

JAMMU: The Department of Commerce, in collaboration with University of Jammu Alumni Association (UJAA) organized an Alumni Interaction Meet on Friday.

The focus of the meet was to explore possibilities for ‘Promoting Academic Policy Partnership'.

The alumni of the department who are presently serving in various departments of Government of JK UT as Chief Planning Officer, Deputy Directors and Assistant Commissioners participated in this meet.

The alumni interacted with the faculty, scholars and students of the department and apprised the scholars and students regarding the various initiatives of the Government with regard to School Education, Planning and Development, Health Services, Public Distribution System, Disaster Management, Tourism Services etc.

The interaction was fruitful as the alumni motivated the students with their administrative experiences and also informed them about upcoming employment opportunities.

Prof. Prakash Antahal, President UJAA, presented mementos to the alumni.

The meet was attended by Prof. Gurjeet Kaur, HoD Department of Commerce, Prof Hardeep Chahal, Prof Neetu Andotra and other faculty members, research scholars and students of Department of Commerce.

Other members from UJAA included Dr. Anil Gupta, Secretary, Dr. Garima Gupta, Treasurer, Dr. Shallu Sharma, Joint Secretary and Mansi Mantoo, Nodal Officer.
