JU organises One week FDP on 'Learning Management System'

JAMMU: Learning Management System (LMS), University of Jammu organized a One Week Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Learning Management System in collaboration with UGC-Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) and Office of Dean Academic Affairs, University of Jammu.

The aim of the workshop was to train teachers for a blended mode of learning and teaching which is one of the objectives of NEP-2020.

A series of sessions were organized by various experts to use effective teaching, learning and development of e-content and to create and manage course contents, share learning resources, create assessments and communicate with students on LMS platforms.

More than 40 teachers across all the Departments of University of Jammu attended the workshop where they were addressed by Prof. K. Srinivas, NIEPA, New Delhi, Dr. Deepak Bisla, Ambedkar University, Delhi, Prof. J.N. Balia, Central University of Jammu and Dr. Ashok Sharma, Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu. Many sessions were also attended by Prof. Umesh Rai, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof. Naresh Padha, Dean Academic Affairs, University of Jammu, Prof. Sandeep Pandita, Director, HRDC, Jammu, Prof. Jasbir Singh, Department of Economics, JU among others.

Organizing team from JU-LMS consisted of Prof Namrata Sharma, Convener, Er. Anik Gupta, Director Centre for IT Enabled Services and Management, Dr. Suresh Rao, Member Secretary, Dr. Sarika Manhas, Nodal Officer, Dr. Hema Gandotra and Dr. Shallu Sehgal. Dr. Sandeep Arya and Dr. Sadaf Shah were the organizing secretaries of the event.
