Painting Workshop organised at Multi-arts festival “Duggar Darpan”

JAMMU: The Painting Workshop by the Painting Club was started right after the inaugural function of ‘Duggar Darpan' a multi-arts festival being organised by "Utsaah," the Clubs, University of Jammu in collaboration with IGNCA, Regional Centre.
Twenty senior artists and twenty students (budding artists) participated in the painting workshop to create the Dogra heritage, Dogra culture, and Shaivism with regional variations and differences in philosophy.
On the second day of the workshop, the artists continued with the work started on the first day which will be exhibited in the culminating function of "Duggar Darpan" on 20 March 2023.
The objective of holding this workshop was to give a platform to the students to exhibit their latent talent under the guidance of accomplished artists and alumni of the University of Jammu. This mutual participation shall enhance the aesthetic vision of the students and they shall achieve the desired direction in the field of art.
The workshop is going on under the guidance of Rakesh Sharma, Coordinator, Painting Club.
Prof. Satnam Kour, Chairperson, Utsaah, met with the artists and the students, and appreciated the work of art being created by them on the cultural heritage of Jammu region.
Dr Sadaf Shah, Dr Madhulika Singh, Dr Pritam Singh, Dr Chinmoyee Maharana, Dr Amarjeet, Ms Vanika Gupta, Sheetal Lalotra, and Sunny Singh Rajput, Cultural Secretary, University of Jammu, visited the painting workshop along with many students.
