DC Kulgam reviews progress of RDD sector in district

Instructs Officers to ensure timely completion of ongoing works

KULGAM: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today convened a meeting of all concerned officers of Rural Development Department (RDD) to review the progress of ongoing developmental works under various Rural Development schemes.

The DC reviewed work wise status of developmental works and other schemes and received updated status and feedback from the officers.

Addressing the meeting, the DC directed the officers to work with added dedication to accelerate the developmental tempo and ensure completion of all ongoing works within the stipulated time frame.

He gave timelines for completion of different developmental works and directed the BDOs to ensure field visits for proper inspection.

Reviewing the status of works under 14th FC, the chair was informed that out of 6883 approved works, 6380 works stands completed with an expenditure of 67.78 crore.

While reviewing work status of Back to village phase 03, it was given out that there were 279 approved works, 242 works stands completed with an expenditure of 14.02 crore.

The DC while reviewing the status of developmental works being carried out under Area Development Fund (ADF), it was informed that out of 1883 total works, 1600 works have been completed so far with an expenditure of Rs. 20.51 crore.

The DC exhorted upon the officers to ensure completion of all ongoing works within the set timeframe by utilizing the rest of the working season properly.

He also instructed BDOs to complete citizen app registration of SBM beneficiaries within 2 days.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Showkat Ahmad Rather; ACR, Mir Imtiyaz-ul-Aziz; ACD, Mohammad Imran Khan; ACP, Shurjeel Ali; Ex. Engineer REW, Block Development officers and other concerned from Rural Development Department.
