Jodhamal’s junior wing celebrates ‘Annual Day’

JAMMU: Jodhamal Public School's junior wing celebrated its 18th Annual Day amidst great zest and vibrancy, wherein Rohit Kansal, Additional Secretary, Government of India was the chief guest.
Bhupinder Kumar, Administrative Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department, J&K was the guest of honour, while other dignitaries including Sanjeev Verma, Commissioner Secretary, Piyush Singla, Secretary GAD, Prithipal Singh DIG, Baljeet Kaur, Additional Commissioner Income Tax and Ankita Kar, Additional Commissioner Tax and MD MTRS were present during the event.
Nandan Kuthiala, trustee, Arati Kuthiala, Director, Dr Deep Khare, Principal and Shefali Sanwal, Vice-Principal were among the management who were present during the event. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp to invoke God's blessings, followed by a welcome speech by Sarojj, Coordinator Junior Wing.
Annual report of the session was released and read by the Principal Dr Deep Khare.
He congratulated the school stakeholder for the No. 1 ranking of the school in Jammu and Kashmir by the most prestigious journal, Education World for the 8th consecutive year presented to the top schools Pan India.
Trustee Nandan Kuthiala spoke about the future plans and presented his vision for the progress of the School.
The highlight of the show ‘Guru Vandana', followed by the students represented the historical art and culture of our country depicting the journey of dance from the ancient era (The Nritya Natalika Period) to the modern technical era through different dance forms and drama. The play was ‘Evolution of Dance' along with Rajasthani, Gujarati, Bihu and Dogri folk dances were also performed by students.
Deepali Puri, CCA Coordinator presided over the prize giving ceremony, while the event was anchored by Sarojj and Smriti Malhotra, Coordinators of Junior Wing. On behalf of team Jodhamal, the main awards were received by the CCA Prefects.
Overall planner and management of the events was Deepali Puri. The play was directed by Sakshi and Meenu Kesar, while the dances were choreographed by Aarti Mahajan, Shivali Rai and Shruti Bakshi and vote of thanks was given by deputy head boy, Lakshav Singh Sambyal.
