KCPS students win prizes in painting competition organised by NHPC

JAMMU: Students of KC Public School took part in the J&K UT level painting competition organized by the Regional Office of the NHPC, Jammu recently.
It is a mission of the Ministry of Power, Government of India, to involve children in promoting the cause of conservation of energy among masses.
Aayat Bande, a Class 7 student of KCPS, stood 2nd among Group ‘A' consisting of students from classes 5 to 7 and was awarded a certificate, a cheque of thirty thousand rupees and the cash prize of two thousand rupees.
Vanshika Mehta also received a cash prize of 2000 rupees in the same group. In Group ‘B' consisting of students from class 8 to 10, Aashvi Sharma and Nayan Tripathi received a certificate and cash prize of 2000 rupees each.
Chairman Raju Chowdhary, Managing Director Arti Chowdhary, Vice Chairman Arjun Chowdhary and Principal Amarendra Kumar Mishra applauded the performance of KCPS students in this nationwide competition taken up by the NHPC to spread awareness about the conservation of energy and congratulated Art Teacher Sakshi Saini for training her students well for this competition.
