Two days police workshop on major security challenges in view of emerging 5G technology concludes

VIJAYPUR: The two days Police Workshop on "Major Security Challenges in view of emerging 5G Technology" concluded at Central University of Jammu here today.

The workshop was organized by Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI) Vijaypur in collaboration with Central University of Jammu, Department of National Security Studies for police officers on the directions of Dilbag Singh, DGP J&K, after rolling out 5G Technology by the Prime Minister of India. Various Police officers from all over the J&K UT participated in the Workshop.

In the valedictory address, Vivek Gupta, DIG Traffic Range Jammu with additional Charge of DIG Jammu-Kathua-Samba Range briefed about merits and demerits of 5G Technology.

DIG Traffic laid emphasis that the police personnel should be skilled with handling investigation of Cyber Crime and other issues related to it. Lateron, DIG Traffic and Dr. Abhishek Mahajan-IPS, SSP Samba distributed certificates to the participants.

Dr. J. Jaganaathan, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of National Security Studies, Central University of Jammu coordinated the Conference and also briefed the participants about security challenges in view of emerging 5G technology.

Khalil Ahmed Poswal, SSP, Principal PTTI Vijaypur thanked the authorities of Central University and other eminent speakers for sparing their precious time and sharing valuable experience with the participants.

Earlier, Nisheeth Dixit, Advocate and Cyber Law Consultant, New Delhi, Dr. Abhishek Vaish, Assistant Professor, IIT Allahabad, Dr. Vinita Sharma, Assistant Professor, CUJ, Dr. Misbah Shafi, Research Associate, ISRO CUJ, Chetan Patel, Nodal Officer, Bharti Airtel Ltd. J&K delivered impressive lectures to the participants on relevant topics.

Dr. Neeta, Assistant Professor, National Security Studies, CUJ presented the Vote of Thanks on the occasion.
