District level inter zonal cricket tournament concludes at Subhash stadium Udhampur

UDHAMPUR: District Level Inter Zonal Cricket tournament for men in 19 Yrs to 35 Yrs age group held under the aegis of LG's Rolling Trophy-2022 and Mission Youth concluded today at Subash Stadium Udhampur.

Zone Udhampur defeated Zone Jib in the Final Match. Batting first, Zone Jib made 134 Runs in 20 overs, while Zone Udhampur clinched the final match by chasing the score in 19.5 overs.

Himanshu made 21 Runs and took 1 wicket and was declared the man of the match. Gourav Khajuria from Udhampur Zone made 142 Runs and took 9 wickets during the tournament and was declared man of the series.

All Zones of district Udhampur participated in the tournament. The tournament was organized by the department of Youth Services and sports under the patronage of Subash Chander Chibber, Director Youth Services and Sports UT of J&K and under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Krittika Jyotsna.

Atul Gupta, Joint Director Youth Services & Sports Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion, while Preeti Khajuria Councilor ward No. 01 , Naveen Sharma Manager Sports Stadium , Inspector Sunil Sharma, Poonam Sharma ZPEO Jib were the Guests of honor.

Vipin Kumar, Head Assistant, Joginder Sharma PEM from Deputy Director's Jammu office were special guests on the occasion.

S. Swaran Singh District Youth Services & Sports officer gave a brief description of the tournament and welcomed the Chief guest & Guest of honours and other guests on the occasion.

The Chief Guest congratulated the players, officials and field staff of the department of Youth Services & Sports Udhampur for putting in best efforts to conduct the tournament successfully. He

Later, the Chief Guest presented trophies to the winner, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up teams and also presented mementos to man of the matches and man of the series.
