Training programme on cattle insurance scheme hosted for unemployed Youth

JAMMU: Livestock Development Board Jammu, in collaboration with Oriental insurance company and Hindustan Insurance Brokers Ltd. organized a training programme for unemployed youth of Jammu, to facilitate their active participation in livestock insurance with a dual motive of providing livestock insurance to farmers at their door steps and create a source of income for the unemployed youth.
More than hundred unemployed youth participated in the training programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Director Animal Husbandry Jammu Dr. Shubhra Sharma emphasized on the importance of cattle insurance. She motivated the unemployed youth to avail this opportunity to earn and simultaneously serve poor farmers through the scheme of cattle insurance.
Chief Executive Office Livestock Development Board Jammu, Dr. Tariq Parvez, besides other senior officers and staff of the Animal Husbandry Department Jammu were also present on the occasion.
