SVEEP activities conducted at GDC Ramgarh

SAMBA: The National Service Scheme Unit ‘Prabha' of Government Degree College Ramgarh, in collaboration with District Administration, Samba today organised an awareness programme on ‘Special Summary Revision 2022' under the banner of ‘Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP).

The awareness programme was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Satinder Kaur, the Principal of GDC Ramgarh.

Dr. Shamsher Lal, NSS Programme Officer, delivered the welcome address and greeted the resource persons from the District Administration, the staff members, the students, and the NSS volunteers of the College. He explained the importance of voting in a democracy.

Sunil Thappa, one of the resource persons, talked about the importance of casting votes in elections - parliamentary, assembly, and/or local bodies. He explained how one can get oneself registered as a voter and modify or apply for correction in the Voter Card. He encouraged the staff members and the students of the College to vote to elect candidates of their choice.

Later, Dr. Rahul Kundal, NSS Committee member, proposed the formal vote of thanks. He thanked the resource persons, staff members, students and NSS volunteers of the College. He also encouraged the students to get registered for the voters' list and be enthusiastic for the upcoming elections.
