Jodhamal’s Helios team declared World Knockout Racing Champion

JAMMU: Jodhamal's team Helios won all the six races in the three day event, held at Silverstone (UK) and declared as World Knockout Racing Champion of 2022 at F1 in School World finals.

Jodhamal's team Helios was representing India at the World finals, wherein more than 53 teams from over the 25 countries were participating in the finals. The team members of Helios racing are SakshamSagar, Aryaman Bansal, Samridh Sharma, Samik J Singh, Ashmit Gupta and Mysha Tabrez, and are mentored by Neetu Johri.

In Silverstone, team Helios racing defeated team Pharos and team Super Nova both from China. They also defeated Anemoi racing team from England, team Istiophix and team Zenith from United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Based on Formula 1 Motorsport, F1 in Schools is the World's largest STEM challenge. The competition involves the designing and manufacturing of miniature working F1 car models by individual teams from all over the globe. These models then race with each other on a 25 meter long track.

The final race with team Pharos from China was neck to neck and ultimately team Helios racing was with a close margin of 0.027 seconds. Astonishingly this car managed to achieve relative velocity of nearly 75 km/hours in the confines of the 25 meter race track. Over the years very few teams from Asia, Europe, Africa and Australia have managed to win the World Knockout Racing at World finals. Most of the school teams which have won are usually from the European Union.

The management and staff of Jodhamal School congratulated and appreciated the efforts of the team.
