MV International School celebrates Sanskrit Day

JAMMU: MV International School organised Sanskrit Day Celebration in school today.
Professor R B Shukla, Head of Sanskrit Department, University of Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion, the celebration was graced by the presence of Chairman of School Hira Lal Abrol. Students from classes 6th to 8th presented a colourful program to highlight the journey of Sanskrit language from Hindu Gods to modern times.
The program started with invocation to goddess of knowledge, Mata Saraswati by a dance performance, which was followed by a Sanskrit welcome song and yoga performance. Highlights of the celebration were, Sanskrit Connect - wherein students showcased that majority of languages of the world have originated from Sanskrit.
In another event named as Sanskrit & Modern Science the students presented the scientific facts that have originated from this sacred language. Earlier the school Principal welcomed the guests and thanked them for sparing their valuable time to be with the students for this program.
Hira Lal Abrol in his address recited and shared some Vedic Mantras and their importance in life of students. He apprised the audience about the influence that Sanskrit has made on his life and showered his blessings on students who are studying Sanskrit in classes 6th to 8th of the school.
Chief Guest Professor R B Shukla apprised the audience about the transition of Sanskrit language from ‘Bhram Language' to modern times; he shared its importance and future prospectus for Sanskrit scholars. He complimented the students and staff for putting up a commendable performance to showcase their learning from this language.
