Udhampur Campus, JU organises Webinar on 'Emerging Issues in Digital Marketing'

UDHAMPUR: Udhampur Campus, University of Jammu organised a webinar in collaboration with the University of Jammu Special Purpose Vehicle Foundation (UOJSPVF) & University Business Incubation and Innovation Centre (UBIIC) under the Udhampur Campus Capacity Building Series (UCCBS) on the topic "Emerging issues in digital Marketing" on 27th June 2022 under the patronship of Professor Umesh Rai, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor University of Jammu and under the convenorship of Professor Parikshat Singh Manhas Rector, Udhampur Campus.
Prithwiraj Mukherjee (Assistant Professor IIM, Bangalore) was the resource person for the webinar. Participants from Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Bangalore, Chennai, and Punjab attended the webinar.
Prof. Mukherjee provided an insight to the students on the importance of digital marketing in today's business world. He stated about how Search Engine Optimization techniques happen, techniques to select keywords, titles and paragraphs, Facebook marketing and Instagram marketing etc.
Further, the speaker briefed that "Digital marketing is vital for a successful business and brand awareness and the companies must look ahead at upcoming digital trends to stay ahead in the contemporary business world."
Furthermore, he laid emphasis on clickbait which is one of the most effective ways to get people's attention. During the webinar, he focused on the evolving technologies, social media platforms, and how to use these technologies to reach the right person at the right time.
At last, the speaker discussed three different kinds of digital marketing phenomena-online advertising, word of mouth and influencer marketing.
He also explained the advantages and emergent challenges in each of these methods and discussed existing research and challenges for both academic researchers and Practitioners in these domains.
