20 arrested for violating SOPs

JAMMU: Miran Sahib, Ramban, Gangyal, Domana and RS Pura police arrested 20 persons for violating SOPs issued in wake of rising cases of COVID-19 pandemic.
As per police sources, 4 FIRs were registered against violators who were arrested by Miran Sahib Police and their shops were sealed.
The arrested persons were identified as Harjeet Singh, son of Sadhu Singh of Simble Camp, Sanvinder Singh, son of Manga Ram of Talli Morh, Nadeem Khan, son of Manga Ram of Talli Morh, Mukeem Khan, son of Rayees Khan of UP, at present Simble Morh.
Cases under FIR Numbers 43/2021, 44/2021, 45/2021 and 46/2021 under Section 188 IPC were registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Mirza Sultan made the arrests under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Ramban booked four persons including two shopkeepers and two wedding party organizers for violating COVID-19 lockdown restrictions order.
Cases under FIR Numbers 68/2021, 69/2021 and 70/2021 under Section 188 IPC have been registered against the arrested persons at Police Station Ramban and investigation initiated.
However, six persons travelling in two cars were arrested for violating guidelines by a police team from Police Station Gangyal led by SHO Inspector Raghubir Singh.
Cases under FIR Numbers 68/2021 and 69/2021 have been registered against the arrested persons at Police Station Gangyal and investigation started.
A team from Police Station Domana led by SHO Inspector Mahesh Sharma arrested a salon owner identified as Sham Lal, son of Bedi Ram of Ladore District Jammu for violating SOPs.
A case under FIR Number 115/2021 has been registered against him at Police Station Domana and investigation initiated.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station RS Pura Inspector Jai Pal Sharma arrested five persons for not wearing masks thereby violating the COVID-19 pandemic guidelines.
A case under FIR Number 75/2021 has been registered at Police Station RS Pura and investigation started.
