The Business School Bhaderwah Campus organized one day Online National Workshop

JAMMU: The Business School Bhaderwah Campus University of Jammu in collaboration with Central Depository Services (India) Limited and BSE IPF organized a one-day National online Workshop on the title "Investment and Career Options in Capital Market". on the eve of Global Money Week.

700 participants got registered for the Workshop out of which 300 participated.

The participants were from various states of India and abroad. The webinar started with the welcome address by Dr. Umesh Choudhary who was also the convener of the Workshop.

Dr. Umesh Choudhary introduced the theme of the Workshop to the participants. He discussed the parameters for the success index of a country, problems faced by educational institutes, corporate houses, and government during the Covid pandemic, the role of educational institutes in awaring and preparing the masses to find out the alternate mode of generating their livelihood, and finances while staying at home and factors should be considered while deciding about career options.

Dr. Umesh said the present scenario of the Covid pandemic has triggered a sense of insecurity among the people working in different sectors. In such a scenario of uncertainty, a properly and organized understanding of investment in the capital market can be a potent and alternate source of income for the people.

He further added that such a type of workshop will definitely guide the students who want to opt full-time career in Capital Market. He also extended his heartfelt gratitude to the keynote speakers for kindly agreeing to be a part of this Workshop.

Mohammed Avais who was also the Co-Convener of the workshop has given the Detailed Profile of The Business School, Bhaderwah Campus to the audience.

Prof. Rahul Gupta, Rector Bhaderwah Campus was the Patron of the Workshop. The workshop was conducted under the direction and guidance of Prof. Rahul Gupta. Since Prof. Gupta joined as a Rector Bhaderwah Campus he keeps motivating all the departments to organize national and international events on the campus to boost the morale of faculty and students.

This is the seventh online National level event among the previous state, national and international events organized by the Business School Bhaderwah Campus under the guidance of Prof Gupta. He provided all necessary permissions and equipment required for this online exercise. The success of all these events goes directly to Rector Bhaderwah campus due to his supportive nature.

Mr Inderjeet Singh, Regional Head Northern Zone CDSL was the keynote speaker of the workshop. Inderjeet Singh shared his knowledge and expertise on Depository. He has given the detailed profile of CDSL. He further discussed the trading accounts and the Demat account. He further explained the operations of depository services.

The next invited speaker of the workshop was Harbinder Singh Sokhi, Manager BSF IPF. He spoke on the Capital market. He discussed how to develop financial goals, how to create financial planning, the difference between saving and investment, how inflation rates affect our saving and how to overcome the same.

He further tells about investment opportunities in the capital market. He motivated the young investors on how to deal with the security market. He also discussed Mutual funds and a Systematic investment plan (SIP). He further discussed career options in the capital market.

The presentations were followed by threadbare discussion and questions on the topics covered in the webinar.

During Question answer session very interesting questions were asked by various participants from India and abroad related to various aspects of investments.

Webinar ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Atif Javeed Qazi to all the delegates.
