MAM College organizes one day workshop

JAMMU: Department of Management Studies of Govt. MAM College - A constituent college of Cluster university of Jammu organized one day online orientation workshop for the students of BBA Sem I on Friday.
The orientation cum induction workshop is a part of series of programmes to be organized in the current session to develop managerial aptitude and skills in the students.
Amid pandemic hit severe period the main objective of the online workshop was to build leadership capabilities of the management studentsand provide them a learning environment so that they get maximum benefit.
Greeting new students on joining MAM college, Prof. Dr. G.S Rakhwal principal of the college motivated and encouraged the students to start their academic journey for a bright tomorrow. He spoke about the significance of information technology in the competitive world and urged the students to be erudite.
He further motivated them to adopt a proactive and systematic learning approach for their life and career.
Dr. Pallvi Arora, Assistant Professor in International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management, university of Jammu was the resource person for the session.
In her interactive presentation on "Career Avenues in Management towards- Mapping Skills", she deliberated the importance of certain skills which are required to become successful managers.
She inspired the students to adopt an inquisitive and curious learning approach and discussed the importance of time management, interpersonal skills and social collaborations, resilience and empathetic attitude to become successful in their lives.
Prof. Bharti Salathia, Head Department of Management studies welcomed the students and gave them a brief outline of academic activities to be carried out by the department in future.
Dr. Ridhi Sharma moderated the proceedings of the workshop and delivered the formal vote of thanks.
The other faculty members present in the workshop was Prof. Meena Gupta and Dr. Jasvinder Singh.
