Mayor starts development works at Janipur

JAMMU: Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation, Chander Mohan Gupta, along with Surinder Sharma Councilor of Ward No 38 on Tuesday started the work of laying of slab over Nallah flowing at Sec-2 Pamposh Colony Janipur of Ward No. 38.

Jeetu Bhan, Sanjay Bakshi, Robin Kumar, Ashok Sharma, Surinder Gupta and other prominent inhabitants of the locality as well as Ranjan Kumar Concerned Junior Engineer and other supervisory staff of engineering section concerned contractor were also remained present during the function which was organized in a very simple manner keeping in view the coronavirus pandemic.

He said that this development work has been started with an estimate cost of 14 lakh only and directed the concerned engineering wing to complete the laying of slab work with in stipulated time period by applying best quality and durable construction materials & upto the satisfaction of locals.

He appealed to the general public to come forward & cooperate with JMC & other allied departments in all the development activities being undertaken in the Jammu city.
Later Mayor along with Surinder Chowdhary Councilor of Ward No 29 and Tinna Mahajan Secretary JMC also distributed soaps & other essential items to the safaikaramcharies.

Hardeep Singh I/C Sanitation Officer, Carnalleous Gill, Hira Lal Khajuria both Sanitary Inspectors and other supervisory staff of Health section as well as prominent inhabitants of the wards were also remained present there.

Mayor said that the Safaikaramcharis are the backbone of JMC and they are working with full dedication and hard work even during this crucial period of coronavirus pandemic & keeping the Jammu city neat and clean and it is due to their sincere efforts that Jammu City has succeeded to fight against COVID-19 with great success and it the prime duty of every individual to take care of the Safaikarmcharies working in the field during this chilly & cold weather conditions.
