KATRA: Surbhi Raina, former student of MBA from School of Business, Faculty of Management, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University has made a incredible achievement as her research paper entitled 'Performance Measurement of Indian Banking Sector: A Cross- Section Perspective' has been accepted for publication in a reputed Scopus (Elsevier) indexed international journal entitled as 'International Journal of Business and Globalisation' published by Inderscience Publishers.
The research contribution examines the performance of banks operating in India on the basis of non- parametric methodology and accounting approach. Using cross-section data the study evaluated causes of the underutilizations of public goods/resources along with slack and radial movements to achieve the desirable frontier.
The finding of the study holds very imperative for decision-making and strategy implications.
Raina has studied at SMVDU during 2016-2018 and completed her dissertation worked under the mentorship of Dr. Supran Kumar Sharma, Associate Professor, School of Business, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University and also coauthor in this research work.
This research paper contribution is primarily one of the chapters of her Dissertation work.
Earlier, during her MBA Raina also attended three days International Conference on Data Envelopment Analysis at Aston Business School, Aston University, Birmingham, United Kingdom. During this DEA40 conference she presented a research paper entitled.
Presently, Raina is working at IIM Jammu as Management Trainee.
