Weeklong FDP Concludes at SMVDU

KATRA: A weeklong Online Faculty Development Program on "Computational Intelligence System and Security-2020", organized by the School of Computer Science and Engineering, concluded at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.

During the inaugural session, Prof. Eswaramoorthy Muthusamy, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, congratulated for taking initiative for conducting the program. Dr. Manoj Kumar Gupta, Head, School of Computer Science and Engineering and Coordinator of the FDP, emphasised on the need of this FDP in today's times.

Dr. Abhishek Gupta, Assistant Professor, School of Computer Science and Engineering and Coordinator of the FDP, shared his views on the importance of computational intelligence and its relevance in current age.

Grooming academicians from international/national reputed institutes like School of Information Systems, Singapore, School of Computing, Ulster University, UK, JNU New Delhi, NITs, etc., and experts from industry like HCL Noida, Staqu Technologies, Gurugaon have delivered a wide range of upcoming research areas, like edge computing, various application of deep learning in biomedical, machine learning on audio files, industry application of NLP automation, blockchain, and cryptography, automation in biomedical applications are few of them.

A total of around 70 candidates from different universities and various colleges of India successfully participated in the FDP out of 100+ registrations. The FDP offered a meeting opportunity for faculty, research scholars, academic and industry-related researchers belonging to various, vast communities of Computational Intelligence and Network Security.

It was aimed to bring researchers and experts together to discuss their experiences in the fields of Computational Intelligence and Information Security. It also facilitated the participants to get an experience on different aspects of these subjects.

At the valedictory program E-certificates were distributed for the participants and certificates of appreciation were honoured to the resource persons. Dr. Manoj Kumar Gupta, Coordinator and Head of the school of Computer Science & Engineering concluded the FDP with the appreciation of Speakers as well as participants.

Dr. Abhishek Gupta, Coordinator of the FDP presented a vote of thanks to Honourable Vice-Chancellor of the University, Padam Shree Prof. R. K. Sinha for all the encouragement and guiding strength to carry such academic activity.

Vote of thanks was also extended to all the committee members, authorities, speakers and participants who supported the FDP.
