CEO Baramulla visit community schools established in Gujjar, Bakerwal areas

BARAMULLA: The Chief Education Officer Baramulla Dr G M Lone accompanied by Deputy CEO Balbir Singh Raina and other concerned functionaries today visited several community schools established in Gujjar and Bakerwal area of Botipathra, Nigan, Ternaran, Lainmarg, Khalinmarg and at other places to take first hand appraisal of their functioning.

On the occasion CEO Baramulla distributed books, masks and sanitizers among the students.

With the establishment of community schools at different levels to compensate the academic loss occurred due to COVID-19 lockdown, functionaries of education department Baramulla are reaching out to students and schools for bridging every kind of gap that may hamper its smooth functioning.

In the Community Schooling System, a teacher in a particular area establishes a community level school and all the students in that particular village/Mohalla are provided academic as well as psychological help irrespective. These community schools are established with the help of local Auqaf Committees and Panchayat Raj Institutions (PRIs).

All the requisite advisories and SOPs are being taken into consideration so that the safety of the teachers as well as the students is secured.
