JU VC releases Urdu book

JAMMU: Prof.Manoj Dhar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu today released a Urdu Book 'Composit Culture and Urdu Literature'.

The book is complied by Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik, HOD Urdu and Dean faculty of Arts, Jammu University and Dr. Shehnaz Qadri,HOD Urdu MAM College jammu jointly.

Speaking on the occasion Prof.Manoj Dhar congratulated the Author's for compiling the book on an important topic. He said that book covers all the aspects of composite culture in Urdu literature. There is a need to highlight the composite culture of India in different generes of Urdu language.

Highly reputed writers of the country have written detail research papers on composite culture and Urdu literature which have been included in the book. The book is beneficial for research scholars and students and should be kept in every library of the country said Prof.Dhar.

Dr.Reyaz Ahmed while speaking on the occasion described the book a valuable. He congratulated Prof.Shohab & Dr.Shehnaz for their efforts. The book is a first kind of book in Urdu as no work has been done on the topic earlier.

The book "Composite culture and urdu literature contains 574 pages. Near about 100 research papers have been included in the book. Prominent writers of the country who has contributed for the book included Dr.Taqi Abedi, Prof.Sageer Afrahim, Prof.Khwaja Ekram ud Din, Prof.Aslam Jamsheedpuri, Prof.Zia ul Rehman, Dr.Chaman Lal, Dr. A.R.Manhas, Dr. Farhat Shamim, Dr. Asif Malik, Dr. Mushtaq Hayder, Dr.Kousar Rasool and others. The book has been dedicated to renowned literature Dr.Taqi Abedi.

The book has been published by Qasmi Kutub Khana Jammu.

Dr.Chaman Lal , Dr.A.R.Manhas, Dr.Farhat Shamim. The owner of the Qasmi Kutub Khana Lutuf-ur-Rehman Azad were also present on the occasion.

The book release function was organized by the Deptt. of Urdu,University of Jammu.
