DIS Kindergarten wing ‘Phulwari’ celebrates Graduation Day

JAMMU: The kindergarten wing ‘Phulwari’ of DIS celebrated Graduation Day by presenting a spectacular and splendid show in the school premises.

The programme started with the auspicious lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest Nazir Ahmed Khan Gurezi Former Deputy Speaker of Legislative Assembly, Chairman G.N.Tantray , Vice Chairman M.A. Tantray, Principal Dr. Vikesh Kaur and other dignitaries .

Principal Dr Vikesh Kaur extended a warm welcome to the parents and the guests and complimented the graduates on their achievements. She advised them to keep their energy high and face this new phase of life with colossal strength and indomitable spirit. The cultural programme commenced with the welcome song presented by the teachers. The graceful dancers of the classes Nursery, L.K.G. and U.KG.left everyone spellbound with their mesmerizing performance.

Another heart stealing performance was the Quwaali by the toddlers of U.K.G. where they depicted the confusion children face due to the conflictbetween their wishes and parents’ expectations. The highlight of the programme was the dance ‘Immortal Bond’ presented by the students and the teachers that depicted the bond of love and respect between them. The parents of the students witnessed the ceremony where their excited little ones wore the graduation gowns and caps and held their scrolls firmly in their hands as they took a new step towards their academic life.

The graduation ceremony was followed by Prize Distribution where the winners in different categories were felicitated by the Chief Guest Nazir Ahmed Khan Gurezi, Chairman G.N.Tantray, Vice Chairman M.A. Tantray and Principal Dr Vikesh Kaur.


In his speech, the Chief Guest Gurezi congratulated the students and the parents on the occasion and appreciated the school for the efforts in the right direction. The Vote of Thanks was presented by Headmistress Sarita Moza Kaul.
