SMVDU Faculty Delivers Invited Talks at IIT Madras

KATRA: The faculty members of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (Katra), Dr. Amitabh V. Dwivedi & Dr. Ravi Parihar, delivered inivited talks on endangered and indigenous languages of Jammu & Kashmir in '2nd International Conference on Indigenous Languages' (13-15 FEB 2020) at IIT Madras.
Dr. Dwivedi spoke on the 'Coordinate Conjunction of the Bhadarwahi language', whereas Dr. Parihar gave a presentation on the Sarazi language.
The faculty duo have been working on revitaizing the lesser-known languages of Jammu & Kashmir, and their talks were well-appreciated by the audience. Dr. Dwivedi also shared a technical session, and provided useful inputs to the fellow participants.
The faculty members emphasized the linguisitc diversity and richness of Jammu & Kashmir. In addition, Dr. Dwivedi and Dr. Parihar also provided their feedback and comments on post-conference workshop on 'Researching Indigenous Languages: Methods & Practices', and the participants got benefitted from their experience.
