Leadership & Conflict Management Workshops Held

JAMMU: ELFA International organised 12 workshop on " Leadership, Effective Communication, Negotiations and Conflict Resolution" in collaboration with different Government Institutions, Colleges and University of Jammu during December 2019 and January 2020.

6 workshops were organized at different centres of DDU - GKY, Govt of India run centres, 3 workshops were organized at the different departments of University of Jammu, 2 workshop at Government Gandhi Memorial Science College, Cluster University of Jammu while as 1 workshop was organized at Moulana Azad Memorial (M.A.M) College Jammu.

Around 1220 participants were trained under this series of 12 workshops. The team of Elfa International explained how impunity, silence and lack of opportunities have restricted the space for young people to evolve. Trainers also tried to explain the plight of young people who are experiencing extensive frustration, anger and trauma. The awareness regarding the same was raised through different games and activities conducted by CEO ELFA International, Mehran Khan. Khan encouraged the participants to raise their voices and bring forth a positive change in the society and their lives by believing in themselves and take initiatives to achieve their dreams, he conducted several practical exercise on Belief System. 

Organization has organized leadership programs across the state of Jammu and Kashmir in different universities, colleges, schools and organization. During these workshops trainers from ELFA International shared inspiring stories of young people across the globe to motivate youth to take part in productive and meaningful activities, also to take part in social and political debates in order to bring a sustainable positive change in the society. Trainers from ELFA International also shared different data/statistics with the participants especially the global population of youth in general and of Jammu and Kashmir youth population in particular which is about 65% to 71%, youth/participants understood how important it is for them to take part in social and political activities to bring the changes in the social and political systems.

The Senior Advisor and Mentor, ELFA International Professor Indu Kilam, while interacting with the participants and the administration expressed that the organization is commented to work for the betterment of youth of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. She also thanked the partner Institutions, Colleges and University of Jammu for coordinating with ELFA International for successfully organizing the 12 workshops at Jammu.
