JSS Kathua celebrates National Mathematics Day

KATHUA: With an aim to bring awareness on the contributions made by the renowned mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua celebrated National Mathematics Day in the school premises.
A special assembly was conducted to commemorate the 132 birth anniversary of the famous mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. A role play, poem recitation, along with some amazing facts and quiz competition was organized today so as to foster knowledge amongst students.
On this occasion Senior coordinator Arti Rajput (PGT Maths) stated some useful tips to get rid of maths phobia. She suggested a few quick and easy strategies to students so as to make maths easier and fun-learning.
Also a Maths Quiz Competition was conducted by Sourav (TGT Science )in which teams were categorized as Team Ramanujan, Team Brahmagupta and Team Aryabhata. Out of the above stated teams,Team Brahmagupta won the competition. The Movie titled The Man who knew infinity was also screened for the students of classes 2nd and 3rd by Mr Parshotam(TGT Maths).
Mili.R.Sumbria, Principal, Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua lauded the efforts and interest displayed by the students during the celebration.
