Dec 14, 2019
JAMMU: Heritage School is hosting a team of 18 students from Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls Public School Jodhpur, Rajasthan, accompanied by their teachers, to participate in the Exchange Programme.
American Field Service India started Inter-State Exchange Programme to impart regional cultural learning to students of schools within India. This programme facilitates exchange between different schools, giving them a brilliant opportunity to learn about different cultures, languages, lifestyles that prevail in our country by involving the pupils in various extracurricular activities like music, dance friendly matches, talent hunt etc.
The pupils also learn through other learning processes like science experiments, radio shows etc. The average duration of the programme is five to six days.
The guests were welcomed enthusiastically by the host school. An interesting itinerary has been chalked out for the afternoons & evenings for rest of their stay here, which includes some significant sites like Mansar, Hari Singh Palace, Bahu Fort, Raghunath Temple & Pandav Cave. For an experience of typical dogra culture the guest students are being taught regional dances and songs.
In exchange a team of 17 students from our school escorted by teachers has gone to visit their school at Jodhpur. We look forward to many more such Exchange Programmes in future to enhance inter-cultural learning among students of schools within India.
