MV International School celebrates Annual Day

JAMMU: MV International School celebrated its 15th Annual Function ‘Zest-2019' with enthusiasm and fervour at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu.

SK Sharma, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax, Jammu adorned the occasion as the chief guest. while Raza Murad, Bollywood Actor, who has acted in more than 250 films from 1965 till date, some of the recent movie hits are Padmavat, Bajirao Mastani, Jodha Akbar etc decorated the event by his presence as the celebrity guest.

Ramesh Mathur, Founder Teacher from Mayo College Ajmer, Municipal Corporators, Block development Officers and sarpanchs of District Jammu, Samba & Kathua were present during the celebration as the special guests.

Hira Lal Abrol, School Chairman; Savita Abrol, Vice Chairperson; Directors Gourav Abrol and Aakriti Abrol and Kundan Lal Dogra, Principal of the school along with parents of the students graced the occasion.

Seventeen (17) Lenovo Laptops were presented to meritorious students of class 12th who scored above 90 percent marks in CBSE examinations. Eleven (11) subject wise 100 percent scorers of class 12th were also felicitated during the programme. Cash scholarships worth `50,000 were awarded to top 5 students of class 10th CBSE result.

Earlier, the programme commenced with the Lighting of the Lamp and divine invocation of Lord Ganesha. Pathan Thapa, Head Boy and Sangeeta Rana, Head Girl welcomed the guests. Gourav Abrol Director, MVIS shared the voyage of MV International School and vision for expanding its growth in all dimensions.

The cultural program suitably named as ZEST-2019, displayed the hues of our culture and its celebrations.
LKG & UKG students set the stage on fire by their ‘Alluring Flutter' followed by ‘Puppet Dance' by class 6th; students of Pre-Nursery, Nursery & UKG presented the voice of jungle in form of ‘Rapport Reverence'; classes 1st& 2nd came up with a foot tapping presentation on ‘Jovial Pizzazz'. ‘Kathak Dance' by class 4th was followed by an interesting presentation with UV lights depicting the ‘Cube Dance'. Special dramatization on history of District Samba attracted everyone's attention, classes 3rd, 4th& 5th gave boost to ‘Fit India Movement', patriotic fervor was raised high by class 8th. Grand finale of the presentation was the Punjabi Bhangra by classes 9th& 11th on the theme ‘Vehda Sagna Da'.
School Principal, presented the Annual Report and highlighted the achievements.

Special Prize distribution was organized for the class wise toppers from class 1st to 11th, they were presented with ‘Scholar's Blazer'; Merit Certificate & Chairman's Award for Academic Excellence.

Another set of thirty (22) achievers of national level sports and co-curricular activities were felicitated during the ceremony. The Supremes House lifted Rolling Trophy for being the Best House in CCA and Best House in Sports for the session 2019-20.

Chief guest & celebrity guest gave away the prizes to the meritorious performers.

SK Sharma and Raza Murad in their addresses complimented the school for putting up such a spectacular show.
