Dr. Sanjeev Anand from SMVDU presents research work on Indoor Air Quality at International Conference

KATRA: Dr. Sanjeev Anand, Assistant Professor, School of Energy Management, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University presents research work on Indoor Air Quality with paper titled Ventilation System & Particle Dispersion Analysis of Operation Theater using CFD co-authored by Dr. Yatheshth Anand, Shubham Verma and Saurabh Sawhney at Seventh International Conference on Energy Research and Development (ICERD-7) held under the Patronage of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah at Kuwait.

This conference was jointly organized by American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), Kuwait University, Kuwait Society of Engineers, Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research and Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences.

The Seventh International Conference on Energy Research and Development (ICERD-7) was held at Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre, on November 19-21, 2019. The theme of the Conference was "Advances in Energy Research and Development."

The exciting conference was entirely dedicated to recent developments in optimizing the utilization of basic energy resources in the major energy consuming sectors in the arid region of the Arabian Peninsula. Special emphasis will be on emerging energy conversion technologies, conservation and management strategies.

The conference has a great tradition extending over the last 20 years addressing topics from Energy Conservation itself, to Fuels and Combustion; Air-conditioning and Refrigerating Systems, to Renewable Energy Technologies.

The conference brought together leading academic scientists, researchers and practicing experts to exchange and share their experiences and research results about all advancements in energy applied systems.

The Scientific Committee received a large number of abstracts for oral presentations, many of which were of a high quality, and selection involved some very careful decisions. The reviewing process involved the participation of scientists from all over the world. About 50 technical papers, 6 Keynote speeches, 3workshops and 3 professional courses were delivered during the conference.

Further, Dr. Anand had scientific discussion with Prof. Bjarne Olesen, International Centre for Indoor Environment and Energy, Technical University of Denmark, Dr. Paul Kellett - Programme Manager, United for Efficiency, UN Environment Programme, Dr. Marcelino Sánchez Director - Solar Thermal Energy Department, National Renewable Energy Centre, Spain.

Dr. Anand thanked university authorities for financial support and expressed his gratitude to Dr. Vineet Tyagi, I/C Head, SoEM, for his valuable inputs in the work.
