JSS celebrates Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Jayanti

JAMMU: JSS conducted a Special Assembly celebrating the auspicious occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. 

The students came dressed in traditional Sikh attire and the assembly commenced with paying floral tribute to Guru Nanak Dev Ji followed by useful information related to his life and teachings. 

A serene and calm atmosphere was created by the soothing ‘Shabad’ sung by budding singers which reiterated the message “One God and the Eternal truth”. Tejasvi, a student of Class-10th B apprised the audience about the teachings and principles of the pious soul.

Harpreet Kour addressed the audience saying that the essence of religion is engaging man to constantly remember the divine blessings at all times and at all places.

Principal cum Vice chairperson Rohini Aima appreciated the efforts put in by the children and the teachers and gave the message of universal brotherhood. She encouraged the students to follow what Guru Nanak Dev Ji taught and lived for.

The programme concluded on a happy note with a festive spirit and unbeatable excitement among the students. Prabhjot Kour, middle wing, coordinator wished the students and teachers - 'A Very Happy Gurpurab'. Management of the school conveyed their best wishes to all the students, staff and parents of the wards on this pious occasion.
