MVIS holds closing ceremony of CBSE Cluster XVIII Kho-Kho Tournament

JAMMU: Curtains were drawn at the "CBSE Cluster XVII Kho-Kho Tournament 2019-20" held at MV International School.

Shakti Kumar Pathak, SSP Samba, was the Chief Guest for the closing ceremony of the Tournament.

Zahoor Choudhary, Additional Provident Fund Commissioner, Samba; Navtaran Taneja, JKPS, SDPO Vijaypur and Dalbir Singh, Retd Principal graced the occasion as Special Guests.

B. S Tirthi, National Coach for Kho Kho was CBSE Observer for the matches. Chairman of School Hira Lal Abrol, Director Gourav Abrol and Principal Kundan Lal Dogra were also present during the program. 200 players (boys and girls) drawn from CBSE schools of Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir & Haryana, participated in this event in U-17 & U-19 categories. It was a sheer display of agility, enthusiasm and speed.

1st Positions were won by Kamla Nehru Public School (U-17 Boys), St. Solider Elite Convent School (U-17 Girls), Shifaly International School (U-19 Boys) & Aadesh International School (U-19 Girls), 2nd Positions were won by Shree Guru Hari Krishan Public School (U-17 Boys),Shree Guru Hari Krishan Public School (U-17 Girls), Vishisht Bharti Public School (U-19 Boys), Vishisht Bharti Public School (U-19 Girls) and the 3rdPositions were won by St. Solider Divine Convent School, Amritsar (U-17 Boys), St. Solider Divine Convent School, Jallandhar (U-17 Girls),MV International School (U-19 Boys) and St. Solider Divine Convent School (U-19 Girls). Best players of the tournament were: U-19 Boys- Aditya of Shifaly International School, U-19 Girls - Simranjeet Kaur of Aadesh International School, U-17 Boys-Arshvir of Shree Guru Hari Krishan Public School & U-17 Girls-Lovleen Kaur of Shree Guru Hari Krishan Public School.

The gathering was addressed by the Chief Guest,who gave an inspiring speech and congratulated students for their spirit of sportsmanship and strive tobecome good leaders for the future.To conclude, one of the most spectacular events of the year, the gathering dispersed after witnessing a closing ceremony that would give people reasons to return for the CBSE Cluster games, the next year as well.
