UIET Kathua, organizes two-day workshop on 'Introduction to CAD'

JAMMU: University Institute of Engg. & Technology (UIET), Kathua organized a two-day workshop on 'Introduction to CAD' for its students by CADD Centre.
Anjali Chopra, Centre Head, CADD Centre, Er. Robin Singh (Sr. CAD Engineer), Shekhar and Amanpreet Singh were the resource persons for the workshop.
The workshop was conducted as a series of workshops on various trends in the field of Civil Engineering. The resource persons enlightened the participants about AUTOCAD used for designing and drafting purposes.
The workshop was designed to enhance the awareness among the students about the current technological trends prevailing in the industry.
Shekhar updated the participants on the latest softwares used in construction sector and various job opportunities in Real estate. Er. Robin Singh conducted Various practical sessions on AUTO-CAD for B.Tech. students of UIET. The workshop was well received by the participants.
Prof. Meena Sharma, Coordinator UIET, in her message, expressed her gratitude towards the CADD Centre. In her message, she threw light on the importance of such workshops which are extremely important for the students to improve their skills and knowledge.
She further appreciated the efforts of the faculty members of UIET and said that such kind of academic programs should be organized at regular intervals to give valuable input to the students besides upgrading their skills. She assured that every possible support shall be extended to the institute to arrange such academic activities in future too.
Earlier, Dr. Dilpreet Kour, Lecturer, UIET welcomed and introduced the resource persons to the Department. She thanked them for having enlightened the students about the latest technology and softwares.
Other faculty members of UIET including Er. Navdeep Singh, Er. Komal Khadotra, Er. Sandeep Raj, Er. Sarvdaman Sharma and Er. Sushant Gagal were present during the programme.
Besides, Ishaan Sharma and Punit sudan from MBA, Kathua Campus also contributed their efforts in making this workshop a success.
