Corporator Neena Gupta visits Buds Playway & Primary School to felicitate 'Green Champions'

JAMMU: Buds Playway & Primary School Channi Himmat today called Corporator Ward No. 50 Neena Gupta as Chief Guest to felicitate "Green Champions".

Other dignitaries present on the event included State Vice President BJP Youth J&K Advocate Ishant Gupta as Guest Of Honour and Poonam Gupta, Kamlesh Mangotra and Trishula Gupta as Special guests.

The guests distributed certificates for the students' contribution to collect recycle waste by participating in the "Jammu Against Plastic Pollution" campaign launched by School.

A cleanliness drive was also launched today around the school campus to celebrate 150 years of Gandhi Jayanti.The teachers also staged a nukkad play to teach children against Plastic Pollution.

While speaking on the occasion, Neena Gupta said that plastics have done enough harm to the world. She said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for the greater participation of all to contribute in the noble act.

She congratulated all the students for their active participation in the campaign "Jammu Against Plastic Pollution" and also appreciated Principal, school administration, teachers and staff for motivating and involving school children in the campaign which will surely provide strength to fight against the use of plastic.

She also praised and congratulated the Students for another intiative ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa' cleanliness drive.

Principal Mridula Mangotra also spoke on the occasion and thanked all the guests for sparing their valuable time and visiting school on their invitation.

She said that the staff of Buds School prepared handmade bags which were distributed to the shop owners of Channi Himmat area to encourage the use of paper bags instead of plastic.

She also congratulated students and teachers for their great efforts and dedication to create awareness about Environment.

Ishant Gupta urged the students to promote the message everywhere and act as a voice of God for the noble cause. He also urged every citizen of the society to contribute towards clean and healthier society.

Administrator Sanjay Singh along with teachers, staff and large number of students were present on this occasion.
